Platinum Guild International (PGI) for 2016, expects to grow along with retail partners in India by over 23 per cent - retailers expect platinum to continue outperforming the category average.
Platinum Jewellery volume grew 24 per cent in 2015, said Platinum Guild International (PGI) in its third annual Retail Barometer.
PGI attributes volume growth due to increasing acceptance of platinum as the choice of the young aspiring urban consumer.
Platinum saw increases across the board from Platinum Love Bands, Men's Jewellery, and the new Evara Platinum Blessings, which marked platinum's entry to the key wedding category in 2015.
