Hyundai Motor India Ltd (HMIL) on Monday launched a CSR initiative — Safe Move Traffic Safety Campaign — in association with the Ministry of Road Transport and Highways.
As Hyundai's brand ambassador, Bollywood actor Shah Rukh Khan will participate in this CSR initiative.
The campaign, which operates online and offline, seeks to promote best practices of road safety among children.
“It is our responsibility to apprise children about the importance of traffic safety for a better future,” said YK Koo, Managing Director of HMIL.
A Robocar Poli (mascot of the safety campaign) animation series, along with messages from Khan and Road Transport Minister Nitin Gadkari, will be aired on Hungama TV. The 26-episode series will be telecast in English, Hindi and Tamil.
HMIL has also designed school and residential welfare association programmes to reach out and spread the traffic safety message across multiple cities. Delhi, Mumabi, Chennai, Kolkata and Ahmedabad will be the first.
