The Pune based Sahyadri Industries has launched its pre-fabricated materials for speedy and cost effective construction of buildings in the Kerala market.
The factory made environment friendly components can be interlocked and assembled at the site. The new product S3 uses a unique three layer technology for wall panels. The walls need not be plastered and can be directly painted.
V.T.Rabindranath, senior president of Marketing said the company is working with NGO's to help rebuild Kerala after the floods. These houses are capable of withstanding fire, water seepage and earthquakes. The tourism sector in the State has wholeheartedly welcomed the pre-fabricated technology. Several resorts have put up such buildings. Houseboats have also used the products as they are safe from fire hazards, he said.
Sahyadri Industries is part of Pune based Patel group and has factories in Tamil Nadu, Andhra Pradesh, Maharashtra and Gujarat.
