Purplle.com, a beauty products and services marketplace, is gearing to launch a white label skincare brand in a month, as it aims to sell its own products worth about ₹7-10 crore this year.
The company expects the sales to come from its new skincare brand. Purplle’s revenues during the last financial year from own brands was nil.
“We are looking at rolling out the herbal skincare line in a month’s time. The name of the brand is yet to be finalised, while we are also looking to import brands in every category. On Purplle, our private brands would contribute to about 5 per cent of our total sales,” said Manish Taneja, co-founder.
Under its new skincare brand, the company plans to launch skin cream, face wash, essential oils and soap.
“These will be completely organic,” he said, but did not divulge the investments needed for the new skin care brand.“We are well-capitalised and don’t need further investments,” Taneja added.
Purplle, a Manash Lifestyle company, has raised a total of $7 million through three rounds from Blume Venture Advisors, IvyCap Ventures and JSW Ventures. The company plans to bring in products of global majors such as Lotto, Moda Cosmetics (Turkey), Vipera Cosmetics (Poland).
