Telecom operator Reliance Communications (RCom) has entered into inter-circle roaming partnerships with Aircel and Tata Teleservices Ltd to offer 3G services on a pan-India basis.

Following the agreement, the company’s GSM customers would be able to access 3G services while on roaming outside its network, RCom said in a statement.

Advantage RCom “These alliances will further consolidate RCom’s position as the leading data operator in the country and will help the company improve its post-paid and corporate customer marketshare,” Gurdeep Singh, Chief Executive Officer (Consumer Business) at RCom, said.

However, the company, controlled by billionaire Anil Ambani, did not name the companies it entered into agreements with.

Industry sources, who declined to be named, confirmed the deals were signed with Aircel and TTSL. When contacted the companies declined to comment.

Aircel has 3G services in 13 circles and TTSL in 9 circles.
