Revolt Motors on Tuesday unveiled an AI-enabled electric motorcycle, the RV 400, targeting new-age motorists. The bike is aimed at making the urban commute convenient, clean and sustainable, said Revolt.

While Revolt will announce the price next month, the e-motorcycle will be available for pre-booking at ₹1,000 in Delhi from June 25 on its website and Amazon. This will be followed by NCR, Pune, Bengaluru, Hyderabad, Nagpur, Ahmedabad and Chennai over the next four months, it said.

“The RV 400 challenges every convention that riders have pertaining to EVs — power, styling and aesthetics, range, battery charging infrastructure, security, sound and service,” Revolt founder Rahul Sharma said here at the launch.

Sharma, who had earlier founded mobile phone maker Micromax, said Revolt is betting big on developing a connected ecosystem which will be an integral part of all its products.

The AI-enabled motorcycle has an ARAI certified range of 156 km and is powered by the Revolt app, the company said, adding that the lithium ion powered batteries of the RV 400 can be charged as well as swapped. Riders can charge the battery in less than four hours by plugging into any 15-ampere socket.

Revolt has set up a manufacturing plant in Manesar that has a capacity of 1.20 lakh units in the first phase. The company is investing around ₹500 crore in the facility and equipment.
