Roche, a global leader in diabetes management systems and services, and Jothydev’s Diabetes Research Centre based here will jointly develop a Centre of Excellence here to fight diabetes..
An MoU to this effect was signed on Thursday. The Centre of Excellence will deepen education and raise awareness on diabetes and the different ways of treatment, a spokesman said.
Upgrading skillsets
Roche will facilitate training and education for healthcare professionals to upgrade skillsets by teaching them about iPDM (Integrated Personalised Diabetes Management), a new model of diabetes treatment. The company will also provide clinical research and patient support.
Gaurav Laroia, General Manager, Roche Diabetes Care India, said. “The Centre of Excellence pairs our expertise in advanced diabetes management with Jothydev’s experience in holistic diabetes care.”
Jothydev Kesavadev, founder-CMD of Jothydev’s Diabetes Research, said the high failure rates in the current treatment are often due to the under use of life-saving, emerging technologies.
“The Centre of Excellence will help deliver practice-changing and life-saving technologies in diabetes,” he said.
