Sanjiv Goenka has been awarded ‘2013 Indian Business Leader of the Year’ award at the Global India Business Meeting being held at Belfast in the UK.
The Global India Business Meeting is the foremost gathering of Indian business leaders and their global counterparts.
The award was handed over to Goenka by Union Minister for Commerce & Industry Anand Sharma.
Goenka is the Chairman of the Rs 14,000-crore RP-Sanjiv Goenka Group. The group has interests in power (CESC), coal mining (ICML), carbon black (Phillips Carbon Black), organised retail (Spencer’s), music & entertainment (Saregama India) and business process outsourcing (Firstsource Solutions).
