French energy management company Schneider Electric aims to be the market leader in the wiring devices segment in India within three years.

The company is looking to strengthen its portfolio by covering all price points through its offerings. With this, it hopes to see double digit growth in the segment.

The wiring devices market in India is pegged at ₹2,200 crore with Anchor being the market leader. Legrand and Havells are the other major players in the segment.

“We are currently at number four in the wiring services market and over the next three years we intend to be number one,” Anoop Baokar, Director - Sales, Schneider Electric, said at a press conference here on Friday.

Schneider has launched a host of switches across various price points. While some offerings are priced as low as ₹35, there are ones that cost ₹3,000. These are aimed at both individual users and B2B segments.

“Earlier, there was a huge gap between the entry level and premium offerings. Now we are trying to cover all the relevant price points with offerings in each category,” Baokar said.

In calendar 2018, the company witnessed 20 per cent growth in its wiring devices vertical. So far in 2019, too, it has managed “double digit” growth.
