Shirdi Sai Electricals Limited (SSEL), a transformer manufacturing company based out of Kadapa, has announced the inauguration of its new plant for manufacture of Energy Efficient Amorphous Metal Distribution Transformers.
The new plant located near Kadapa in Andhra Pradesh is expected to have a production capacity of 600 transformers a day, product mix from 25 kva to 250 kva, 30 nos from 500 kva to 2500 kva and 5 per day from 5000 kva to 12500 kva.
SSEL and Hitachi Metal Ltd Japan have signed a MOU to further work together on development of higher capacity transformers to support energy efficient initiative propagated by government of India.
The delegates from Hitachi Metals Limited (HML), Japan. who graced the occasion and signed the MOU in the presence of Ryuichi (Rick) Kamoshita of Hitachi, recently.
Sanjay Seth, Managing Director of Hitachi Metals India (HMI) - a 100 per cent subsidiary of HML, said the association will be mutually beneficial and outline SSEL's growth journey in last few years.
N Visweswara Reddy, Chairman and Managing Director of SSEL, outlined the company vision that will enable to add value to all stake holders at large. He also conveyed his passion for research and explained how the R&D set up will help in bringing higher quality in energy efficient transformers.
Seth thanked Visweswara Reddy for his vision and trust in HML proprietary product of Amorphous Metal.
