While coffee and packaged products are readily available through vending machines in offices and restaurants, home-grown Bueno Insta Pizza Pvt Ltd is all set to introduce pizza vending machines in India.

With the country’s fast food market seeing huge growth, pizzas are becoming mainstream, thanks to aggressive expansion by international pizza chains.

Sudhir Undevia, Director at Bueno Insta Pizza, said the automated machines can offer freshly-baked pizzas in less than four minutes and is programmed to offer four different kinds of toppings.

The company has bagged the marketing rights for these machines from its Chinese manufacturer.

He said given the cost incurred to set up a pizza restaurant, the automated vending machine will reduce the cost of a pizza by 40-50 per cent and offers scalable business opportunity.

Undevia said: “We have already appointed distributors for Gujarat and Delhi. We believe these machines have a huge potential in the country and can be placed and operated at airports, food courts, railway stations and IT parks in both metros and tier-II cities.”

He said these vending machines can be set up in shop-n-shop format and can be easily placed and operated at malls and corporate complexes. The company has roped in Franchise India to help develop the distribution and expansion strategy.

Gaurav Marya, Chairman, Franchise India, said, “This is a fabulous concept for offering convenience and quality food. Consumers can be served these freshly-made pizzas instantly. We believe there is potential for 400-500 units of the machine to be set up in the country in the next three-five years.”

The company hopes to commercially launch the machines by early next year and will unveil it at the retail expo being organised by Franchise India this weekend in Delhi.

It also plans to act as a supplier for raw materials required as per the specifications for the machine owners.
