Stark Communications, a leading advertising house based here, has emerged with a rich haul in the advertising awards ceremony conducted under the auspices of the Bangalore Ad Club.

The awards were given away at a gala function on Friday at the Palace Grounds in Bangalore, a spokesman said here.

RICH HAUL

The agency won a total of seven golds, four silvers and four bronzes in various advertising and promotion categories beating stiff competition from leading peers such as Mudra, Leo Burnett, Meridian, Disha Communications, Dentsu and Origami.

Stark also won two individual honours for excellence in communication and media, with Mr Jaison Antony and Ms Seetha Jayakumar walking away with the ‘Art Director of the Year' and the ‘Copywriter of the Year' awards respectively.

The winners were selected from a total of 960 entries received in 74 categories from 138 clients, one of the largest in the history of the Ad Club.

A jury of 24 senior professionals with representation from creative, account management, digital, media, public relations, healthcare and clients decided the awardees.

Stark won the awards for the much-acclaimed Kerala Tourism brand campaign, ‘Your Moment is Waiting,' Malayala Manorama's social initiative campaign celebrating the power of words, Radio Mango's ‘Lifine pattilakoo,' a campaign that measures distances with songs, the Karnataka Tourism brand campaign and the ad for Heera Constructions for selling commercial space.

“This has been a truly rewarding year with several national and international awards coming our way,” said Mr Shelton Pinheiro, National Creative Director.

CREATIVE IDEAS

“Moreover, we are delighted that the award winning creatives have worked perfectly for our brands in their respective markets — affirming the power of authentic human insights in triggering effective creative ideas,” he added.

Earlier this year, Stark won a bronze at the New York Festivals, three golds at the Pacific Asia Travel Association (PATA) International Awards, a bronze at the Berlin Golden Gate Awards and at the ABBY – Goafest and two shortlists at the Prague International Advertising Festival.
