Strand Life Sciences has launched a genomics-powered liquid biopsy test, which will help in monitoring lung, breast, colorectal and other types of cancer.
Called Strand LB, the test helps in monitoring the presence, recurrence and response of cancer-related tumour.
The Strand LB technique provides sensitive detection of tumour traces with a simple drawing of blood. “The pain is minimal, invasiveness in addition to comprehensive tissue profile which is capable of detecting 1 molecule in 1000, and micro traces of the tumour,” said Vijay Chandru, an Indian Institute of Sciences (IISc) Professor and CMD, Strand Life Sciences.
