Sun TV Network Ltd has reported close to 3 per cent growth in net profit at ₹203 crore for the quarter ended March 31, 2015, against ₹197.57 crore in the comparable quarter in the previous year. Revenues grew 5 per cent to ₹548.58 crore for the period from ₹520.18 crore in the fourth quarter of 2013-14.
Y-o-y growthFor the full year too, the company reported 3 per cent growth in net profit at ₹737.23 crore on a turnover of ₹2,244 crore against ₹717 crore on a turnover of ₹2,097 crore registered in 2013-14.
The Chennai-headquartered company, which operates satellite TV channels in Tamil, Telugu, Kannada and Malayalam languages, has paid interim dividends totalling ₹11.25 per equity share of face value of ₹5 each during the year, which works out to 225 per cent.
Scrip upSun TV shares lost ₹7.50 (1.94 per cent) to close the day at ₹378.70 on BSE.
