Air cooler maker, Symphony Ltd on Tuesday posted standalone net profit of Rs 42 crore for the quarter ended March 31, 2018, down by 8 per cent as against Rs 46 crore reported for the corresponding quarter last year.
The total standalone revenues for the quarter fell by 15 per cent to Rs 165 crore as against Rs 200 crore in the comparable quarter last year.
Company shares tumbled on the stock exchanges losing by over 12 per cent on Tuesday to end at Rs 1,450.
The company's Board of Directors has recommended a Final Dividend of Rs. 1.50 per Equity Share of Rs. 2 each subject to approval of shareholders at their ensuing Annual General Meeting.
For the fiscal 2017-18, company's net profits stood at Rs 183 crore, up from Rs 175 crore reported in the previous year. Total revenues for the year increased to Rs 727 crore from Rs 701 crore last year.
Company's earnings per share for the year increased to Rs 26.15 for a share of face value of Rs 2 from Rs 24.96 for the previous year.
Consolidated net profit for the year stood at Rs 193 crore as against Rs 166 crore in the previous year on total revenues of Rs 852 crore as against Rs 808 crore reported last year.
