Nasdaq-listed Syntel, which has majority of its employees based out of India, has launched a new cross-industry service line called Syntel Digital One.
The service line will consolidate the company’s existing digital enterprise services, including enterprise mobility, cloud computing, Big Data analytics, social media and Internet.
“We stand today at the cusp of one of the most exciting times in the history of our business, and with new consumers of the digital age forcing businesses to rethink their engagement models,” Syntel’s newly-elevated Chief Executive Officer and President Nitin Rakesh said at a press conference.
“Syntel Digital One is a new way for us to partner with clients to transform their businesses, capitalise on new opportunities and win in a dynamic marketplace,” he added.
Syntel has about 80 per cent of its global workforce of the total 23,652 (as of December 2013) employed across its 12 development centres in India.
In February, Syntel had named Nitin Rakesh as its Chief Executive Officer and President. His appointment is with effect from April 21. He has succeeded Prashant Ranade, who has moved to a higher role.
