Tata Coffee Ltd today reported 62 per cent increase in its consolidated net profit at ₹ 44.65 crore for the quarter ended September 30.
Its net profit stood at ₹ 27.58 crore in the year-ago period, the company said in a regulatory filing.
The company’s income from operations, however, fell to ₹ 371.77 crore during July-September period of this fiscal from ₹ 402.43 crore in the corresponding period of the previous year.
Tata Coffee’s net profit rose despite fall in sales as total expenditure declined to ₹ 298.10 crore from ₹ 355.85 crore during the period under review.
In the first half of 2016-17 fiscal, the company’s net profit almost doubled to ₹ 108.75 crore from ₹ 54.79 crore in the year-ago period.
Income from operations went up to ₹ 797.96 crore during April-September period of 2016-17 fiscal from ₹ 754.29 crore in the corresponding period of the previous year.
