Tata Consultancy Services has launched a Centre of Excellence for next-generation technology solutions with over 200 research and development engineers working in it. The 10,000-sq ft facility will focus on R&D in futuristic technologies. The primary focus would be on emerging communication technologies such as Software Defined Networks (SDN), Network Function Virtualization (NFV), 5G and Wireless LAN (WLAN).
“It would create next-generation products and solutions for its global customers in the semiconductors, devices and networks space,” V Rajanna, Vice-President and Global Head (Technology Business Unit) of TCS, has said.
“Another area of focus for this CoE is to create innovative technology solutions for the connected world in areas such as Man-Machine interface, Context-aware systems and resource constrained devices,” he said in a statement.
