The Thane Industrial Court has set aside the termination of over 200 workmen of Crystal Lace, under Industrial Disputes Act, 1947. The judge, Mr S V Suvvarna, recently held that company had indulged in ‘unfair labour practices.'
According to Crystal Lace Kamgar Union, the petitioner, the workers were sacked on February 15 last year without obtaining necessary permissions. Respondent company argued that it had been taken over by another company, but the judge said that take-over was not established by the documents submitted.
