Hospitality chain The Park Hotels of the Apeejay Surrendra Group is set to add four more properties to its portfolio while sewing up plans for setting up a chain of over 20 boutique hotels.

The Chairperson of The Park Hotels, Priya Paul said that the chain currently has over 2,000 rooms and is set to add one more property at Kochi shortly. Three other properties at Pane, Raipur and Delhi are at advanced stage of development.

Priya Paul, who overseas the businesses of the Rs. 6,000-crore diversified Apeejay Surrendra Group, said that the chain is in the process of setting up about 20 plus boutique hotels across the country. These will not just be bread and breakfast properties but provide a little more for the visitors.

As someone barely 22, Priya Paul had to take on the responsibility of running a chain of hotels. Since then she had nothing to look back except a string of achievements. A Padmashree awardee, she was in Hyderabad to address the FICCI Ladies Oraganisation, Hyderabad chapter, to share her journey through a talk of "Leadership by Differentiation."

"From the time I took over the responsibility of managing the chain, when the industry and the economy were passing through tough times, it has been a journey of excitement and hard work. But in the end, it pays," she told young lady entrepreneurs.

"For me, the differentiator is all The Park Hotels properties are driven by design. Everything we do is meticulously planned to make a difference," she said.
