InterContinental Hotels Group (IHG) will open three Holiday Inn hotels in the next one year and a combination of 13 more Holiday Inn and Holiday Inn Express hotels in the next four years in the country. Holiday Inn hotels will come up in Chennai, Tirupati and Kolkata within a year, while a Holiday Inn and Holiday Inn Express hotels will open in Mumbai after that. The Holiday Inn Express hotels are built in partnership with Duet India Hotels, an alternative asset management company, and managed by IHG. Addressing mediapersons at the recently launched Holiday Inn Express hotel in Chennai, Shantha de Silva, Head – South West Asia, IHG, said the company is looking at tier II and III cities for expansion.
