Private power producer Torrent Power Limited registered standalone net profit of Rs 134.52 crore for the quarter ended March 2017, on total income of Rs 2,440.80 crore.
For the fiscal 2016-17, the company's standalone net profit stood at Rs 432.36 crore on total income of Rs 10,014.58 crore.
The board of directors of Torrent Power Limited has recommended dividend of 22 per cent or Rs. 2.20 per equity share.
On consolidated basis, the company's net profit for the quarter stood at Rs 136 crore on total income o Rs 2,452.80 crore.
For the fiscal 2016-17, the company's consolidated net profit stood at Rs 429.79 crore on total income of Rs 10,053.56 crore.
Torrent Power shares gained over 3 per cent to trade at Rs 195.40 on the National Stock Exchange (NSE) on Wednesday.
