Murugappa Group company Tube Investments of India (formerly known as TI Financial Holdings Ltd) has reported a standalone profit after tax of ₹77 crore for the quarter ended December 31, 2018, against ₹35 crore in the same period a year ago, aided by dividend income of ₹29 crore from Shanthi Gears Ltd (₹5 per share declared as special interim dividend).
The results have considered an impairment provision of ₹12 crore pertaining to its joint venture company, said a company a statement.
Profit before exceptional items and tax stood at ₹121.5 crore (₹50 crore). Revenue rose 15 per cent to ₹1,341 crore (₹1,163 crore).
For the nine-month period ended December 31, it registered a standalone profit after tax of ₹188 crore when compared with ₹116 crore in the year-ago period. Total revenue from operations stood at ₹4,062 crore (₹3,546 crore).
