TVS Motor Company has entered into an exclusive partnership with Motoplex S.A.S of Grupo Bonanza, a leading automobile business house in the Dominican Republic.
This partnership is expected to help TVS Motor expand and strengthen its presence in the Caribbean region. Motoplex S.A.S operates through a network of more than 80 touch points in the region.
Motoplex will develop and operate 40 TVS Motor Company dealerships in the Dominican Republic.
The first flagship (3S – Sales, Service and Spares) dealership was launched in Santo Domingo on Friday.
TVS Motor’s Wego, Sport and Apache RTR series will be sold in the Dominican Republic.
Only five months ago, TVS announced its entry into Central America through a partnership with local group Masesa to sell its two-wheelers in five countries – Guatemala, Honduras, El Salvador, Costa Rica and Nicaragua.
TVS Motor is the second largest two-wheeler exporter from India after Bajaj.
TVS exported 2.36 lakh units during the first six-month period of this fiscal. Bajaj exported 6.83 lakh units during this period.
