Automaker VE Commercial Vehicles (VECV) today said reported a 9.76 per cent jump in its total sales at 3,565 units in November.
The company, which is a joint venture between the Volvo Group and Eicher Motors, had sold 3,248 units in the same month last year.
Domestic sales increased to 3,418 units in November from 3,171 units in the year-ago period, an increase of 7.79 per cent, VECV said in a statement.
Exports also went up by 90.91 per cent during the month to 147 units from 77 units in November 2011.
VECV sales of light commercial vehicles in the Indian market rose by 4.99 per cent to 2,485 units during the month from 2,367 units in the year—ago period.
In contrast, heavy commercial vehicle sales fell by 9.19 per cent to 504 units from 555 units in November 2011, it said.
