Auto manufacturer VE Commercial Vehicles has recorded a 29.24 per cent jump in total sales at 3,916 units in February 2011 compared with 3,030 units sold in the same month previous year.
Domestic sales in February last year increased to 3,663 units from 3,007 units in the same month a year ago, a jump of 21.82 per cent, the company said in a statement.
Exports for the month also soared by 11-fold to 253 units from 23 units in February 2010.
Sales of light commercial vehicles in the Indian market went up by 5.48 per cent to 2,655 units from 2,517 units. Heavy commercial vehicle sales recorded an over two-fold jump to 628 units from 267 units, it added.
VE Commercial Vehicles is a joint venture between the Volvo Group and Eicher Motors.
