The board of directors of Vijay Textiles has recommended a dividend of 10 per cent or Re 1 a share. The company registered a dip in its revenue at Rs 32.44 crore in the quarter ended March 31, 2018, as against Rs 38.42 crore in the comparable quarter of the previous year. It posted a profit of Rs 3.26 crore (Rs 1.81 crore) in the quarter.
For the financial year 2017-18, the firm registered a turnover of Rs 111.71 crore as against Rs 119.49 crore in the previous financial year. The profit for the year stood at Rs 8 crore as against Rs 4.57 crore in the previous year, Vijay Kumar Gupta, Managing Director of Vijay Textiles, informed the Bombay Stock Exchange on Tuesday.
