German auto major Volkswagen today reported an over two-fold increase in sales in India at 4,014 units in November.
The company had sold 1,942 units in the same month last year, Volkswagen said in a statement.
“We have witnessed an encouraging growth with our November sales welcoming new members to the Volkswagen family. Earlier this year, we launched the Ameo and were positive that the vehicle would succeed in drawing car buyers’ attention and it has lived up to our expectations,” Volkswagen Passenger Cars India Director Michael Mayer said.
