Our Bureau Wipro Consumer Care products division will invest ₹220 crore to set up a manufacturing facility in Maheshwaram mandal in Telangana’s Rangareddy district.
Coming up in 40 acres, the facility will manufacture soaps and other personal care products. It is likely to provide 300 direct jobs and about 200 indirect jobs.
The decision was announced after Telangana Minister for IT and Industries KT Rama Rao met Rishad Premji, Director of Wipro Enterprises, in Hyderabad on the sidelines of Nasscom India Leadership Forum.
According to a government statement, Wipro’s facility was cleared as part of the TS-iPASS, the State’s new industrial policy.
