Online travel aggregator Yatra.com on Monday announced the launch of TG Rooms and TG Stays with an eye on the rising budget travel segment. A traveller can book an air-conditioned room starting at Rs 499.
TG Rooms will offer hotel and guesthouse options with basic standards of hygiene, free wi-fi and air-conditioning, while TG Stays will offer verified home-stays across major destinations, the company said in a statement.
Sharat Dhall, President, Yatra.com said, “With TG Rooms and TG Stays, we are looking to expand our inventory. TG Stays is targeting a new segment in the market by aggregating verified home-stays, which are especially ideal for short vacations, weekend getaways, and road trips that are gaining immense popularity among Indian travellers.”
Yatra.com acquired Travelguru in 2012. Yatra.com, combined with TG Rooms and TG Stays, now has the largest inventory of hotels and other accommodations in India with over 40,000 stay options across over 1,100 cities, the statement added.
