The West Bengal Chief Minister, Ms Mamata Banerjee, on Thursday, said people were wrongly criticising the State Government for the felicitation given to the Kolkata Knight Riders for winning IPL-V. According to Ms Banerjee, the entire felicitation programme was taken care of by the Kolkata Municipal Corporation and the State Government had just welcomed the team. “We do not have that much money in the State coffers. The Kolkata Municipal Corporation has a programme for providing civic reception to reputed personalities and it was conducted under this programme,” she told reporters at Writers' Buildings.
