Four more states are expected to issue notice inviting tenders for mineral block auctions in the next 10-15 days, the Mines Secretary, Balwinder Kumar, said on Thursday.
So far, tenders have been issued for 28 blocks in five states namely Jharkhand, Karnataka, Maharashtra, Rajasthan and Gujarat. About 70 blocks have been identified for auctions by states. The process of calling for bids is an ongoing one.
