Apollo Hospitals Group will host two prestigious international conferences in Hyderabad during April —International Patient Safety Congress and second International conference on transforming healthcare with IT 2011.

Dr Hari Prasad, CEO, Apollo Hospitals, told newspersons today that the patient safety congress will focus on ealthcare associated infections and is closely related to the theme of this year's World Health Day – ‘Antimicrobial resistance.'

Some of the prominent speakers addressing the conference include Dr Prathap C. Reddy, Chairman, Apollo Group, Dr Kiran Mazumdar, Managing Director of Biocon, Mr Bob Kocher, Ex McKinsey etc. The topics of discussion would range from special focus on standards of patient safety in Asia, Role of IT in Patient Safety, A global and national view on Patient Safety.

Transforming Healthcare with IT 2011 is being organised in association with a consortium of IT companies including Microsoft, IBM, Alcatel-Lucent, GE, Wipro etc. It is also being supported by Nasscom, Indian Association of Medical Informatics Department of Science and Technology etc.
