BCG group to enter into healthcare sector

The Kochi-based BCG Group has laid out plans to develop close to 16 lakh sq ft of space into social infrastructure projects in education and healthcare sectors.

BCG Education Services has already launched two schools in the State, under the brand name Guardian Public School, in association with Manipal K12 Services. These schools, which are coming up in Ernakulam and Palakkad, will have world-class infrastructure and best of academic standards.

The Group will be opening at least five schools in the K12 segment under the Guardian brand, in the next three years and it is on the lookout for strategic partnership to set up a modern international schools in Kochi. Special attention will be given to set up institutions with focus on job-oriented training, a press release said.

The Group is planning to enter the healthcare sector with a new project. The first of its kind in Kerala, BCG Health Mall will bring under its umbrella, doctors, investigation centres, health and wellness products, etc. The first project, which will be here, is in the final stage of completion, the release said.

There are also plans to set up a 400-bed hospital in Kochi. The hospital will be part of a 7.5 lakh sq. ft. health village, which is in the conceptual stage. The health village will provide residential solutions for individuals who require prolonged healthcare, the release added.
