Footwear retailer, Bata India, on Wednesday posted 35.39 per cent increase in net profit for the fourth quarter ended December, 2010 at Rs 34.39 crore.
For the same quarter last fiscal the company’s net profit was Rs 25.40 crore.
Bata’s net sales increased 23.52 per cent during the three month period under review at Rs 355.85 crore, compared to Rs 288.09 crore in last fiscal.
For the full year 2010, the company’s net profit grew 41.84 per cent at Rs 95.35 crore, up from Rs 67.22 crore in 2009, it said in a statement.
The company’s net sales increased 15.28 per cent at Rs 1,256.85 crore in 2010, compared to Rs 1,090.17 in the prior year.
“The year 2010 has been an incredible for Bata India.
During the year we have opened a record 108 stores, each with an area of more than 3000 square feet,” Bata India Group Managing Director, Mr Marcelo Villagran, said.
