Its going to be a corporate war of a different kind on Sunday when corporate leaders play cricket to raise fund for the uplift of children of municipal schools of Ahmedabad.
A host of corporate CEOs, leading professionals, including doctor, lawyers, and chartered accountants, will fight against each other with a bat and ball at the special cricket match, being organised by Sahyog, a philanthropic trust.
Corporate leaders including Chief Executive Officers, Managing Directors and Presidents representing companies such as Arvind Ltd, PriceWaterhouseCooper (PWC), Hester Pharmaceuticals Ltd, Shell Hazira, PMC Projects Pvt Ltd of Adani Group, Volkswagen, Vodafone, Intas, Aircel and officials of Gujarat Chamber of Commerce and Industry (GCCI) will participate in the two-hour event, said Ms Janki Vasant, founder of Samvedana.
The non-profit trust, aiming to provide access to quality education and comprehensive welfare programmes to economically deprived children, has been organising the Samvedana Tournament for the last six years. This year, 33 corporate leaders of Gujarat are playing, she added.
