The National Association of Realtors India (NAR-India) and the Confederation of Real Estate Developers' Association of India (Credai), both pan-India bodies of realtors (agents/brokers) and real estate developers, have signed an agreement to work together, exchange knowledge and professionalise.
The underlining objective is to bring about transparency in real estate transactions and provide better services to customers in the real estate sector of the country and impart training to the brokers' community.
Addressing a press conference at the two-day NAR-India 3rd Annual Convention & Expo here recently, Dr P.S.N. Rao, Founder-Chairman of NAR-India, said “brokers and builders are two key stakeholders of the real estate industry. This collaboration aims to work together closely to help all the stakeholders including the end customer.”
The NAR-India formed in 2007 now has over 13,000 agents/brokers working across 20 major cities of the country. The third annual gathering of these professionals has attracted over 1,000 participants, he said.
The President of Credai, Mr Lalith Kumar Jain, said that this collaboration fits well into the ‘Mission Transparency' initiated by Credai in the country, evolving a code of conduct and professionalising the functioning of various stakeholders.
