Bilateral trade between India and Tunisia may touch $ 1 billion by 2015. Ambassador of the Republic of TunisiaTarek Azouzsaid Tunisia was keen on developing relations with India in all fields.

“The new environments have had a positive impact on business and will offer new opportunities for investment and development. At present, the size of the bilateral trade is $700 million and we want to take it to $1 billion by 2015,” he said during an interactive session with the state industry and trade body, Federation of Andhra Pradesh Chambers of Commerce and Industry here.

Fapcci President Srinivas Ayyadevara pointed out that Tunisia has been a reliable source for phosphates since 1950s and India accounted for over 50 per cent of Tunisia’s global phosphoric acid exports.
