The 116 State Level Bankers' Committee (SLBC) meeting of Karnataka will be held in Bangalore on Monday. According to Mr G. Ramanathan, Convenor – SLBC and General Manager, Syndicate Bank, the meeting will review banking statistics as of December 2010 and take up for discussion issues like drawing up a road map to provide banking services through a banking outlet in every village, implementation of Electronic Wages and Benefit Transfer Scheme, setting up of financial literacy and credit counselling centres and interest subsidy scheme on crop loans to farmers upto Rs 50,000 through public sector and regional rural banks.
Recommendations of Dr K.C.Chakrabarty Committee on rehabilitation of sick micro and small enterprises and implementation of coffee debt relief package 2010 would also be discussed.
