The Karnataka Chief Minister, Mr B.S. Yeddyurappa, on Tuesday asked the Union Minister of Coal, Mr Sriprakash Jaiswal, to ensure adequate supply of coal and more coal linkages for the power projects in the state.
Mr Jaiswal assured Mr Yeddyurappa that the demands of Karnataka will be considered according to the availability of coal, an official statement said.
Mr Yeddyurappa called on Mr Jaiswal here along with the Karnataka Energy Minister, Ms Shoba Karandlaje, and Members of Parliament from the State, it added.
