The Congress-led United Democratic Front (UDF) government has been expanded with the inclusion of two new ministers.
Mr Anoop Jacob of the Kerala Congress (Jacob) and Mr Manjalamkuzhi Ali (Muslim League) were sworn in this morning.
The Governor, Mr H. R. Bharadwaj, administered the oath of office to them at a function held at the Raj Bhavan here.
Mr Anoop Jacob has been given the Food and Civil Supplies portfolio while Mr Ali will handle Urban Affairs and Non-resident Welfare.
Separately, the Chief Minister, Mr Oommen Chandy, announced a mini reshuffle of the 21-member Cabinet.
The Revenue Minister, Mr Thiruvanchoor Radhakrishnan, has been made the new Home Minister, a portfolio that the Chief Minister was looking after until now.
The Health Minister, Mr Adoor Prakash, will be in charge of Revenue now. He is being replaced by the Transport Minister, Mr V. S. Sivakumar.
Mr Aryadan Muhammed, the Electricity Minister, will hold additional charge of Transport, the Chief Minister said.
