Knitwear exporters in Tirupur have hailed the incentives announced in the Annual Supplement 2011-12 to the foreign trade policy.
“Be it extension of the Market Linked Focus Product Scheme (MLFPS) for exports to the US and EU for items covered under Chapter 61 or introduction of Special Focus Market scheme for exports made to 41 countries in Latin American, African and the CIS countries and the availability of the total duty credit at 4 per cent, all such measures would go a long way in giving a boost to the knitwear exporting community,” the Tirupur Exporters' Association President, Mr A. Sakthivel, said.
The association has appreciated the EDI initiative and procedural simplification carried out by the DGFT.
