Ethnic food and consumer products from Kudumbashree units are expected to add flavours to the festival season of Vishu and Easter.
Kudumbashree, which boasts over two lakh neighbourhood groups under its umbrella, is organising a special State-level fair at the Handicrafts Village, Vellar, near Vizhinjam here, from Friday to Sunday.
The fair will vend select products from various units across the State, a spokesman for the State Government's poverty eradication mission, said.
‘Originality, purity, and Kerala flavour' are the trademarks of Kudumbashree products as its units take utmost care to ensure food safety, he added.
Organic products and unadulterated food items would be the theme song for the fair.
It will feature a vast array of products such as pickles, fruit juices, flours of different grains, ready-mix masala products and eco-friendly handicraft items across a number of stalls.
SINGLE WINDOW
It would as a single-window for sourcing several products which are popular in different parts of the State, the spokesman said.
Exclusive stalls for ethnic food items will be a major attraction of the event. Around 100 select products will be displayed in the fair.
