Madurai District Tiny and Small Scale Industries Association (Maditssia) has invited applications from eligible tiny and small service industries for the joint Maditssia-TVS Service Industry Award for 2010. Mr N. Somasundaram, Association President, in a release said that the award carries prize worth Rs 10,000. Any unit that commenced services before April 2007 from the following sectors are eligible for the award: Information and Technology Sector Software industries, BPO centres, automobile service industry, electronic service industry, computer training centre, hospitals, clinical laboratories, scanning centres, travels, tour operators, mobile phone service centres, beauty parlours, self-help groups and business centre. These must be functioning in the southern districts of Madurai, Dindigul, Theni, Virudhunagar, Sivaganga, Ramanathapuram, Tuticorin, Tirunelveli and Kanyakumari. The applications forms are available at Maditssia Office, District SSI Associations, State Bank of India branch offices, Canara Bank branch offices and nationalised bank branches.
