Sundarban-based NGO Sabuj Sangha organised a State-level workshop on school safety audit findings in the city on Friday.
The workshop was jointly conducted with the support of Concern Worldwide (an Ireland base NGO) and the European Commission Directorate-General Humanitarian Aid and Civil Protection under its disaster preparedness programme.
The key objective of the workshop was to disseminate the study findings done at four schools of Brajaballavpur Gram Panchayat in Patharpratima, South 24 Parganas, with the government education and State disaster management department, according to a press release.
The study undertook a detailed survey of the schools and identified various factors that influence and impact the safety of their schools.
