The National Institute of Technology Calicut (NITC) is hosting an international conference on Communications and Signal Processing from February 10 to 12.
The three-day meet, being held as part of the year-long golden jubilee celebrations of the institute, will feature plenary lectures and regular technical, tutorial and poster sessions on emerging areas in the two fields.
The event, co-sponsored by IEEE, will be inaugurated by Dr C.S. Rao, President, Corporate Affairs, Reliance Communications, and Honorary Chairman, WiMAX Forum India. According to the organisers, the conference aims at bridging the gap between the theory and practice of innovative communications systems and signal processing techniques.
The plenary speakers include Mr Anurag Kumar, Chairman, Electrical Sciences Division, IISc, Bangalore; Mr Bharat T. Doshi, Director, MERC, Johns Hopkins University, US; Mr P.P. Vaidyanathan, Professor, California Institute of Technology, US; and Mr V.U. Reddy, Institute Professor, IIT, Hyderabad.
