PHD Chamber plans to focus on infrastructure, industrial policy, power and alternative energy, healthcare, housing, rural development, agri-business, education and capacity building, according to Mr Salil Bhandari, the new President of the chamber.
Mr Bhandari is the founder of BG Jeffreys Consulting PL, a change management consultancy. He took over as President from Mr Ashok Kajaria, Chairman and Managing Director, Kajaria Ceramics Ltd.
“Northern and central States are still lagging behind southern and western States. The next 10 years are going to be critical for northern States. The average age in these States will come down to 24 years against 36 years in the southern states. The northern States need to strike a balance between industrial and agricultural growth,” said Mr Bhandari.
We are developing research papers for every northern State which will help them capitalise on opportunities, he added.
