The Tamil Nadu Housing Board has given buyers a chance to catch up on their payments for the property allotted to them.

According to a press release from the Housing Board, it had cancelled the allotment of land, apartments and individual houses to buyers who had not paid three monthly instalments consecutively. A Revocation Committee has decided to give these buyers a final chance, the release said.

The buyers can apply for revocation of cancellation before June 20. However, the application does not automatically mean the cancellation will be revoked. The Committee will consider the applications based on the Housing Board’s guidelines and its decision will be final.

In the case of buyers who do not apply for revocation, the properties will be sold through a public auction.

Applications may be sent in to the concerned Executive Engineer and Administrative Officers of the Division Offices of the Board and also to the Head Quarters of the Housing Board, the release said.
