The Hindu Group of Publications, publishers of The Hindu, Business Line, Frontline and Sportstar, has partnered with Firefly E-Ventures, a 100 per cent subsidiary of the Hindustan Times Media, to provide a value-added offering to clients in the recruitment industry.

The Hindu's weekly job supplement Opportunities and Firefly E-Ventures' Shine.com, a job portal, are now available to recruiters as a combined advertising option that benefits from the strengths of both print and digital media. This partnership is a strategic move that addresses the growing fragmentation in the recruitment process, with virtual job fairs and Web-based hiring becoming part of the mix.

“The Hindu will represent Shine.com in Tamil Nadu and Kerala markets to provide integrated employment solutions and greater value to the enterprise and recruitment consultants. We are the leading English daily in these markets and will combine our reach with the exponential growth of the new media recruitment industry to offer an unmatched offering to our clients,” said Mr Suresh Srinivasan, Vice-President – Advertisement, The Hindu. This product offering combines the geographical reach of both The Hindu for the South and Shine.com for the Delhi, Mumbai and other key markets, and the advantages of print and the Internet.

Shine.com's partnership with the Hindu Opportunities provides complete recruitment solutions to companies and recruitment agencies. Shine.com's pan India presence helps recruiters in Tamil Nadu and Kerala reach out to Shine's large and engaged candidate pool of over 85 lakh candidates and hire the best talent from across the country.
