When hunger strikes, it doesn’t pay to be impatient. When Mr Amit Mitra announced that it would be a ‘working lunch’ session with Ms Swaraj, there was confusion all around. Caterers at the AGM refused to serve lunch to the delegates who made a beeline for goodies, as Ms Swaraj was still to grace the occasion, leaving the delegates wondering whether they would be made to wait till the Opposition leader broke the first paapad. Some delegates, however, lost patience and started filling up their plates. Soon enough, the caterers swung into action and took away the remaining plates. Alas, the early eaters missed out not only on second helpings but also on the dessert!
